Sprint phone plans review

Sprint phone plans
If you are looking at various Sprint phone plans and still not sure which one to pick, hopefully this article will help you – I have been through choosing a phone plan for myself recently and here’s what I’ve learned about various options they offer.

Here is an important thing though, before you commit to any plan, best go to Sprint.com website and enter your zip code in order to see the most relevant offers and check for wireless coverage – because, as you probably know already, not every spot of the land is covered with wireless/data or voice access.

Ok, here’s a bit of information about their various plans, starting from the most basic one, up to the most premium, all inclusive plans.

Basic

The very basic offering, which is ideal if you only use your cell phone occasionally and want to be reachable. It does include night calling (starting at 9 p.m., can be changed to 7 p.m. for additional $5/month), nationwide long distance and no roaming charges. There are 200 Anytime Minutes included as well. This plan currently costs $29.99/month, and is perfect if you want the basic service at a nice price.

Talk

Designed for people who call more often, there is Sprint Talk phone plan. It includes unlimited mobile to mobile, night calling starting at 7 p.m., nationwide long distance and no roaming charges. Depending of how many Anytime Minutes you want, the monthly price is either $39.99 for 450 minutes, or $59.99 for 900 minutes. If you are talking often, this plan is good for you, however, if your business depends on calling other people, you might want to look at all inclusive Simply Everything plan.

Everything Messaging

Designed for those who communicate through text messages – unlimited messaging is included (text, pictures and video). Unlimited Sprint mobile to mobile, night calling (from 7 p.m.), nationwide long distance and no roaming charges – just like the Talk plan, except with messaging included. There are two prices that depend on the amount of Anytime Minutes included – 450 minute plan is $49.99/month and 900 minute plan is $69.99/month. Now, myself, I don’t have an use for such plan, but if you have a teenager who texts all the time, this is perfect for him/her.

Simply Everything

If you are best described as a person who never lets go of his cell phone, this plan is the best for you. It offers unlimited data, unlimited Direct Connect, unlimited messaging, and unlimited talk on Sprint network. A very good thing about this plan is that it is very simple – you just pay a fixed monthly price of (currently) around $99 and you’re set with everything.

Simply Everything Family

Same as Simply Everything, but for those of us who have a family. For $189.98/month, two lines of unlimited data, Direct Connect, unlimited messaging, unlimited talk on Sprint network are included, and additional lines come at $89.99 per month. This plan is great if you have a family that uses their cell phones a lot – with Simply Everything Family, you can easily plan for the monthly bill in advance.

Additional Sprint Phone Plans

For each and every plan, Sprint offers the “Family” option – it is basically the same plan but with more than one line, and a bit cheaper. However, it is unlikely that everyone in your family will have the same needs, so I’ve left those out (except Simply Everything Family, which makes some sort of sense for a cell phone active family).

Conclusion

The plan you will choose will most likely depend on your cell phone usage habits. If you just want to be reachable, use Basic plan. If you like to talk every now and then, look into Talk. If you are a texting person, use Everything Messaging. And, if your business depends on you calling people, get Simply Everything.

I hope this was helpful, and check out the Sprint home page for current prices and wireless coverage
